Interest Meeting

Thanks to everyone who bought treats at the bake sale today. We were very successful in raising money. All the money will go to our mother organization, who will put it into the prevention and prosecution of trafficking.

To all those who showed interest in our club, you are welcome to join us at an interest meeting on October 27, at 7pm in Fretwell 118. We will discuss our club and what we are trying to do on campus. We will also discuss your thoughts on Human Trafficking.

Thanks again for making the bake sale successful.

T-Shirts

We will be meeting in the Student Union tonight at/near the student organizations room at 7pm. We will probably then move to the courtyard between Laurel and Lynch. I have neon spraypaint, and a stencil to use to make our shirts, and I imagine that they wouldn't want us spraypainting in the Student Union. We can also work out the rest of the details for the bake sale, and get the table signage made. See you all then.

First Current Events

Since this is our first post, I want to divert your eyes first to the left column where I have set up a few links. The first set of links under - Become Knowledgeable - will take you to informational sites, where you can get plenty of statistics and background on Human Trafficking. Besides background info, we should all stay up to date on the latest information. So, I included another set of links, which I will update weekly, of news articles, for two reasons: 1. To remind everyone what we are up against each day, and 2. to lend you some hope by showing the progress made each day. I know this is a very tough topic to think about every day, but the only way to conquer this permeating problem is to learn and do as much as you can everyday. It is also essential to spread the news of this problem. The more people who know about Human Trafficking the better.

Thanks for visiting the site.
